Apprenticeships
In Germany, Knorr-Bremse offers apprenticeships for positions in internal demand. Graduates who complete a apprenticeship stand a good chance of receiving permanent employment with the company in the following positions:
- Industrial Mechanic (Aldersbach and Berlin),
- Machinist (Aldersbach and Berlin),
- Electronics Technician for Operations Technology (Aldersbach),
- Mechatronics Technician (Munich, Aldersbach and Berlin),
- Information Technology Officer (Munich) as well as
- Industrial Clerk (Munich)
In the field of mechatronics, Knorr-Bremse is considered one of the pioneers in occupational training. Mechatronics Technician is a government-recognized traineeship occupation. The first trainees in this interdisciplinary career in the assembly and maintenance of mechatronics systems have already completed their training. Mechatronics will continue to be in increasingly high demand in accordance with technological developments in the field, including, of course, in the area of production at Knorr-Bremse.
Practice-Oriented Study Program
Since 2008, Knorr-Bremse has been a partner of the Ravensburg Professional Academy (Berufsakademie (BA) Ravensburg) and its satellite campus in Friedrichshafen, offering students in the fields of
- international business and
- engineering management, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering
a three-year traineeship contract.
