The goal of SCE is to optimize the entire supply chain, from the supplier to the various production stages at Knorr-Bremse to final delivery to the client.

All Knorr-Bremse locations have gradually taken part in SCE. Processes within each location were optimized, as was their coordination with one another. Processes and methods were standardized and reconciled with the SAP software. The review included planning processes, service level and inventory management, among other aspects. Development, purchasing, production, sales and controlling teams now regularly coordinate their plans via SCE and adjust them to meet customer requirements. Our suppliers are also part of the system. Thanks to efficient communication structures, their production can be quickly and flexibly adjusted by Knorr-Bremse and its customers to meet current demand. SCE will significantly improve service quality in all sales channels, particularly in the areas of delivery reliability, quality and deadlines.
