Knorr-Bremse employees in Aldersbach, Munich, Nuremberg and Schwieberdingen donated clothes for the needy in Addis Abeba.
At the suggestion of German ambassador Dr. Claas Dieter Knoop and his wife Monika, Knorr-Bremse Global Care organized a collection of second-hand clothing for Ethiopia – in 2007 at the company’s Munich site and a year later also at the Schwieberdingen/Nuremberg and Aldersbach sites. In two years Knorr-Bremse employees donated a total of 3.7 tons of clothing which was sent to the German Embassy in Addis Abeba, from where it was personally distributed by the ambassador’s wife to various hospitals, an orphanage and a number of street children projects and schools.
